Vegan diets can lack in vitamin B12 as plant-based sources of B12 are difficult to absorb, so I take a supplement. You need enough vitamin B12 for your red blood cells to form properly and transport oxygen around the body. If you don’t get enough B12, it can lead to a kind of anaemia (pernicious anaemia) – so if follow a vegan diet full-time, please do take a B12 supplement and consider checking your B12 levels with a doctor.
