  • About
White is associated with wealth, purity, and being rich enough not to work outdoors. Rich people ate white bread and white sugar in the past, and the poor tried to emulate them. Now rich people eat brown bread! White food is often bleached and therefore has fewer vitamins. Good for the immune system, and possesses diuretic properties.
Lima beans, cauliflower, celeriac, asparagus, mushrooms, potatoes, soybeans, garlic, daikon radishes, parsnips, salsify, coconuts.
Forced rhubarb and forced endive are paler than their โ€œunforcedโ€ versions. The lack of light means they are ivory colored and tender.
