Asian sesame-miso dressing

In a blender or food processor, combine 1 clove chopped garlic, 2 tablespoons chopped red onion, 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger, 5 tablespoons (2½ fl oz/75 ml) canola oil, 3 tablespoons rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons Asian sesame oil, 1½ tablespoons white miso, 1 tablespoon honey, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Process until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
