Rose can lean towards incense, a quality magnified with pairings like cardamom, saffron or quince, or it becomes more herbal and delicate next to the sharpness of lemon or a crisply tart apple. Use as petals or distilled as rose water. Other flower waters include orange blossom, violet, lavender, geranium and kewra.
