Peppers

The fragrant warmth of pepper serves to enhance other flavours. It makes strawberries taste more of themselves. Black peppercorns are most common, but there are plenty of different grades and varieties to excite. Look out for my favourite, Indonesian long peppers - catkin-shaped with a captivating floral tone.
