Appears in

  • About
Why love it
A pretty pretender - no relation to pepper at all. The sharp, delicately piney flavour of brittle-skinned pink peppercorns is good with berries but use in moderation.
Match with

Bean: white chocolate

Sweet fruit: strawberry, raspberry, cherry, pear, plum, pineapple

Tart fruit: cranberry, rhubarb, pomegranate, passion fruit, lemon

Spice & herb: rose, cardamom, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, saffron, ginger, lavender

Sweet: honey, pomegranate molasses, caramel

Extract the flavour
Use whole for their beauty or lightly crush to help release the aroma - a little hot, a little sour, a little fruity.
