Clitopilus prunulus This is a rather common woodland mushroom but very great care is needed to be certain that you do not confuse it with other small white mushrooms which can be poisonous. It is called the miller because it has a strong scent of newly milled flour. An important distinguishing character is the way the gills run down the stem a little; also as it matures the gills will develop a pink tinge due to the pink spores maturing.
