Enteromorpha intestinalis As far as I can tell there is no common name, it could be called sea intestines but that would not do this fine delicacy credit. Very common around our coasts just below the high tide levels in pools, on rocks and in estuaries, it occurs from spring onwards. Pick fresh green fronds, which can be as long as 1m (3 ft).
