  • About

cytokinins, natural hormones in vines produced in the root tips and affecting the growth of other parts of the plant. Cytokinins favour cell multiplication and affect growth and development of shoots and inflorescences. Fewer cytokinins are produced in dry soils, and also in cold and wet soils, and this appears to be critical for budbreak and early shoot growth.
