Favorita, local synonym for the vermentino cultivated near alba, both on the left bank of the Tanaro in the roero zone, and slightly less successfully on the right bank in the langhe Hills. Gagliardo has championed the variety in Roero. The 2010 vine census lists Favorita, Vermentino, and pigato separately, the first totalling 219 ha.
