Fungi

fungi, a group of small and often microscopic multicellular or filamentous organisms which derive their energy living as saprophytes on dead plant or animal tissue, or as pathogens on living tissue. Fungi include yeasts important in fermentation and many organisms causing vine fungal diseases.
