  • About

The Andalusian province of Granada between the high Sierra Nevada mountain range and the Mediterranean has an old viticultural tradition, 5,500 ha/13,585 acres, and just 20 wineries in 2012. Average vineyard elevation of the dop Vinos de Granada is above 1,000 m, including continental Europe’s highest vineyard at 1,368 m. The elevation and humidity provide a much cooler growing environment than the latitude would suggest.
