Jongieux, named cru in the upper Rhône valley just north of Chambéry whose name may be added to the French appellation Vin de savoie. Vineyards allowed this special appellation produce a range of still wines from such varieties as Mondeuse, Pinot Noir, Gamay, Jacquère, Altesse, and Chardonnay. Within Jongieux is the separate Marestel cru, which may append its name to roussette de Savoie.
