Juan García, crisp, lively, local dark-skinned vine speciality of the arribes zone in north west central Spain, where it is usually mixed in the vineyard with other, lesser vines. A total of 1,345 ha/3,322 acres are planted and, on rocky hillside sites, it can produce highly perfumed if relatively light reds. It is also known as Mouraton and is a natural cross of cayetana Blanca and alfrocheiro.
