Malaga Blanc, dominant grape variety in thailand, where it is used mainly as a table grape but also produces relatively soft white wine. Originally from the south of France, where it is named Panse de Provence, it is believed that this grape was introduced to Thailand in 1685 by the first Embassy of the King Louis XIV of France to King Narai the Great of Siam. The grapes’ thick skins make them usefully resistant to heavy rain.
