The most respected winemaker in hungary. Records of his winemaking forebears date from at least the 16th century. He currently owns about 79 ha/179 acres of the best vineyard land in the Tokaj villages of Mád, Bodrogkeresztúr, Tarcal, Tállya, Mezőzombor, and Rátka, of which 51.5 ha/126 acres are planted. He created the new style of Tokaj dry wines and has a special interest in the selection of old Furmint and Hárslevelű clones.
