trunked, a common form of vine training where the vine has a trunk of variable height which ends in a head or cordons. The term trunked is particularly used in eastern Europe and the former Soviet Republics, where such vines are considered high or low trunked, in contrast with trunkless vines, which are easier to bury for winter protection.
