Tursan, 320 ha/790 acre aoc in the Landes in south west france producing wine in all three colours, mainly rosé made from Cabernet Franc and tannat grapes with Fer, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, mostly from the Geaune co-operative and sold locally. The white version is of more interest and is virtually a one-producer wine, but what a producer: three-star chef Michel Guérard of Eugénie-lès-Bains who sells his oaked version of the local white grape variety baroque under the name Baron de Bachen.
