Vespolina, low-yielding red grape variety known almost exclusively in, and probably native to, the area around gattinara in the piemonte region of north-west Italy. Commonly blended with its close relative nebbiolo, it was planted on just 134 ha/331 acres in 2010, occasionally in the oltrepò pavese zone across the border in lombardy, where it is known as Ughetta.
