What You’ll Need

In my early days of baking, I was so enthusiastic I would get caught up with every baking fad and would buy all sorts of obscure specialist kit. After a couple of uses, most things ended up in the back of a drawer or at the charity shop, so you won’t find many fancy gadgets here and everything we use can be found pretty easily (most from your local supermarket).

There are a few bits of equipment listed that either will make your life easier if you plan on baking a lot or are for the very few more technical recipes in the book, but they are in no way essential and are in a wee section of their own. We’re definitely not suggesting you need everything on this list, but it covers everything we used when making the recipes in the book.
