We want baking to be as approachable to as many people as possible! To do this, we try to choose the simplest equipment that will allow for success. We even encourage you to use your hands! They’re great tools. If you come to BAKE!, our hands-on baking school, you’ll see that it is relatively humble in appearance and we often use just a metal bowl, a fork, a wooden spoon, and a plastic scraper (spatula). That said, sometimes a specialized tool can help you make the recipe and get the best results most effectively. Here’s a list of the common tools most of these recipes require.
