Every chef on every television program talks endlessly about the importance of ingredients, so there is no need to elaborate here. I’ll keep this very simple: use the best ingredients possible. To quote Wesley Snipes: “You can put a cat in the oven, but that don’t make it a biscuit.” If you use subpar ingredients, guess what your food will taste like?

In previous years, it was a lot harder to procure exotic ingredients than it is now. That is no longer a concern as specialty supermarkets have popped up in neighborhoods all across America. The internet represents an unlimited source of affordable ingredients while providing a wealth of information. Buying Asian ingredients, or those from any other part of the world, has never been easier.
