Silicone is a nonstick material used for baking forms. These lightweight, flexible forms are easy to clean and store, and you can literally push the products out of the forms. They tend to be more expensive, but they never need nonstick cooking spray or paper lining. Products baked in silicone molds do not seem to brown as well as they do in traditional metal forms. As with any nonstick technology, inform yourself about the benefits and potential risks before using.
