I think the perfect end to a beautiful shared Asian meal is as simple as fresh fruit.
You can slice fruit and make a platter if you wish, but I think the nicest way to serve it is to place a bowl of fruit in the middle of the table, give your guests a plate and a small sharp knife and invite them to help themselves. If a brilliant fruit is available, depending on the season, it’s quite nice to offer just one type — a bowl of cherries, lychees, mango or peaches would be nice. Smaller fruits are particularly nice served on ice.
