Cookie Cutters

Another special element of holiday cookies includes the pretty and varied cutters you have to choose from. I always have nested cutters, both plain and fluted on hand (and extra, just in case kids or friends drop by and want to help). Some cutters are rather pricey and are imported from France but there are many North American companies that do a fine job with nested cutters, usually packing 7 or 9 nested size cutters to a tin. They come in classic round shapes, as well as hearts, squares, and ovals.
