  • About
The following list of shops offers a variety of Brazilian ingredients, such as manioc flours, polvilho flours, dendê oil, rice flour, tapioca, malagueta peppers, carne sêca, and canned hearts of palm. Some canned tropical-fruit concentrates are available, but for the purposes of this book, frozen tropical-fruit pulp is preferred and more readily available at fancy food shops and Brazilian or Latin American markets that import from the Caribbean. Of course, markets and mail-order sources come and go, so be sure to check with each location before ordering.
