  • About
I’ve long been looking forward to an opportunity to fish on the River Dee, one of the best salmon rivers in Scotland - well, in the UK, in fact. As well as enjoying great fishing opportunities, we were fortunate enough to stay in the lodge belonging to Jim Grey, overlooking the stretch of the river he owns. It was the beginning of the salmon season and kelts — fish that have spawned and are off back to sea — were leaving the river, and fresh fish were on their way up the 60-mile stretch of the Dee. We observed this activity over breakfast from the lodge, getting our adrenalin going for the day.
