  • About

The formal drawing room features a pair of marble and gilt bronze Louis XVI candelabra.

The dining room set for dinner.

THIS SPACIOUS turn-of-the-century home was built off palmetto-lined Estill Avenue (later Victory Drive) in what was supposed to have become the “Atlantic Playground of the South,” a Palm Beach-like suburb of Savannah now shaded by towering live oaks. Surrounded by an open veranda paved with Italian tile and a handsome balustrade and porte-cochere, the imposing Italianate home exudes a regal presence as it looks out over Ardsley Park. A greenhouse for the owner’s orchids and a swimming pool flank the rear entrances.
