  • About
Poultry needs to be refrigerated as soon as possible after purchasing and ideally you should store it in the coldest part of the fridge, on the lowest shelf. Remove the giblets from whole birds before refrigerating.
Do not allow poultry to come into contact with or drip onto other foods, especially prepared, ready-to-eat foods, since it can contaminate them with harmful bacteria. Eat on the day of purchase or within 1-2 days.
To store cooked poultry, cool it and store it in the fridge, covered, for no longer than 1-2 days. When reheating cooked poultry, always ensure it is heated through thoroughly.
