Jo: There are things about parenting that make it universally difficult, but I often struggle to imagine just how tough it must be for immigrant parents. To have all the uncertainties and anxieties about keeping a small human alive, while simultaneously being saddled with the burden of navigating an unfamiliar place, language and culture, and being far from your support network and family. It all seems insurmountable. And yet so many families embark on this journey every day, motivated by making a better life for the generation after them.
