  • About
Japanese tea is drunk during all meals in Japan. It is made in much the same manner as China tea is made in England but, as green tea is used, only 1 teaspoon is allowed for six teacups of boiling water, Japanese teacups being smaller than English ones. Neither sugar nor milk is added to tea in Japan.
The meal hours are much the same as those of most European countries—breakfast at 8.30, lunch at 1 o’clock, and dinner at 8 o’clock.
