A Christmas wreath is always a joy to make either for your own home or as a gift. The most attractive festive wreath has a colour theme which might be bronze, dark green, burnt umber or orange. Sometimes I make a wreath with a green and gold theme by wrapping the spices in gold foil before adding them to the wreath.
Since a Christmas wreath looks at its best hanging flat against a wall or wooden door, choose a frame which is lightweight and attach the foliage and other material securely. I find that a moss-filled wire frame from a florist makes a first-rate base but, if unavailable, then woven basketwork or a foam base can work quite well.
