The one thing I hear new (or even long-standing!) vegans struggling with most is the lack of cheese in the vegan diet. Traditionally, it has been hard to replicate the salty-umami taste of ‘real’ cheese from plant-based ingredients, but in recent years vegan products have come on leaps and bounds and there is now a myriad of delicious vegan cheese on the market.
