No. They are two different foods with different properties. Fresh pasta is one of the world’s great foods, and it’s surprisingly easy to make from scratch, but our interest here is in sauces to pair with the long-lasting, commercially prepared dried pasta already filling your cupboard. Don’t apologize for using dried pasta. It too is a great food.
