Urban farming

Even though the countryside is not that far away from Copenhagen and many locals own small allotments on the outskirts of the city, there is still something special about reaching out of your window on the second floor and cutting some fresh parsley or going up on the rooftop and picking some fresh tomatoes. Urban farming has exploded in Copenhagen. As in many other cities, locals use every available space, from rooftops and balconies to public areas and courtyards. All you need is a sunny spot.
