  • About
As mentioned earlier, beneath the skin of an apple are irregular cavities between each cell of the fruit. The spaces between the cell structures allow for gas exchange and for oxygen to flow, increasing an apple’s life span.
The apple is harvested when it has reached full maturity. A mature apple will be crisp, lush, and very juicy. The taste, texture, and look of the apple will vary depending on the variety. Some apple varieties include the Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Royal Gala, and Macintosh.
