  1. Garlic. I love garlic. It’s my favorite thing in the world. (See Lydia Shire’s recipe for Crab Fideos with Broken Garlic Oil, which she characterizes as “major garlic!”)
  2. Olive oil. Garlic and olive oil go hand in hand.
  3. Salt. I cannot eat food without salt—it has zero flavor. Salt might actually be my number one choice.
  4. Bacon. I love good bacon. I love fat.
  5. Pasta. Spaghetti goes great with olive oil and garlic—it’s my comfort food.
  6. Mayonnaise. I’m a closet mayonnaise eater. I can eat mayonnaise sandwiches.
  7. Spinach. I crave spinach.
  8. Broccoli rabe. I crave greens—1 love their bitterness.
  9. Lemons. I use lemons like salt—as a flavor enhancer.
  10. Beef. To have a great steak, with fat—nothing else quite does it for me.
