ROAD RIDER
Enjoys long-distance riding – single and multi-day events.
THE RIDE
A 300km audax called ‘Alston & back’ which starts in Galashiels in the Scottish Borders and heads south, past Gretna, over the English border to a town called Alston – and back.
PRE-RIDE
Porridge made with oats, water, a pinch of salt and almonds. (I soak it overnight, then heat it up in the microwave before adding dried figs to it.) I also had a hot cross bun and black coffee made with the Aeropress.
