Loves track racing; her favourite discipline to watch, race and report on is the Madison. Sipping tea at Herne Hill velodrome on a Saturday morning with friends is bliss.
THE RIDE
Rapha Women’s 100 (a 100km ride).
PRE-RIDE
Breakfast like a queen! Porridge every time, with raw brown sugar and a banana. Then a skimmed milk latte and orange juice.
DURING
The key is quick-release, morale-boosting food that won’t melt in the pocket: sweets, muesli bars and a veggie sandwich. If there’s a shop, I’ll buy crisps to put in the sandwich and JAFFA CAKES! If I’m really hanging, I have a gel. Coffee and tea wherever possible.
