Old-Fashioned Lavender Bags

Dry a good quantity of lavender and strip the flowers from their stalks; you need about ½ lb. flowers. Mix thoroughly together with ¼ oz. of dried thyme and mint, ¼ oz. of ground cloves and 1 oz. of cooking salt. Put into small silk or cotton bags and sew up firmly.
