I have for a good long while been the friend of the author of this book. I have dined several times at her table and can testify that I have never eaten finer Spanish food in Barcelona or Madrid. I have, at my own request, been privileged to read the manuscript of her book and can declare it to be without question by far the finest and most comprehensive book on Spanish food ever written in English. I consider it invaluable for anyone who pretends to have anything approaching a well-rounded cookbook collection. The book will be published in October 1982.
