Throughout this book we have used both Fahrenheit and Celsius, abbreviated to F and C, to measure temperature. The freezing point of Fahrenheit is 32°, 0° for Celsius; the boiling point of water is 212°F and 100°C.

Meter is the unit used to measure length and is divided into increments of centimeters and millimeters.

10 millimeters = 1 centimeter
100 centimeters = 1 meter

Liter is the unit used to measure volume. A liter is divided into deciliters, centiliters, and milliliters.

10 milliliters = 1 centiliter
