A variation on one-pan meals, here are some ideas for dishes to throw into the oven and leave them be. They are infinitely variable, so you can swap beans or meats or veggies for anything similar depending on what you like and what you have available.
There is a certain relief that comes with flinging a tray or a dish in the oven and walking away from it; no mindless stirring, no babysitting overboiling pots, no watchful eyes required; you can just abandon it and get on with something else instead. I very rarely use my oven; most of my meals I make at home are one-pan sling-ins or shoved in the slow cooker, but when I do, I always vow to do more of it. Stick it in, shut the door, walk away. Absolute bliss.
