Gnocchi’ is italian for what the engl sh call ‘dumpl ngs’, but that doesn’t sound very attractive in my opinion. Here are many variations on the basic recipe and even a traditional recipe called gnocchi, that are actually a type of biscuit au gratin, made with polenta. Now, I absolutely love polenta, so I will give you that recipe as well.
