A copy of the first among many Castilian versions translated by Ramon de Petrus, Toledo, 1525, is in the British Library. The work is thought to have been written and circulated in manuscript when Robert de Nola (Mestre Robert) was cook to King Ferdinand of Naples 1458-94.
