In most of these recipes we don’t advise lengthy storage as these are fast pickles with a low salt or vinegar content – this helps the flavours stay fresh, but also means they will not keep long-term. ‘Canned’ in the current context simply means ‘preserved’; we are not actually canning anything in the literal sense. But whatever you call them, these are good little numbers to keep in the fridge when you need a quick flavourful snack.
