  • About

The wok is an ideal cooking utensil for preparing appetizers because they can almost always he prepared as ones guests gather around the dining room and kitchen. Food for thought is generated as the food for the palate is being prepared.

Many of the appetizers in this chapter, such as Thai Crispy Prawn-coconut Treats or Parchment Paper Fish, should be prepared and served immediately for the best effect. Hot from the wok, the appetizers stimulate the appetite and offer a perfect start to a festive evening. Other appetizers like Savoury Stuffed Orange Slices are deliciously unusual: the stuffing is made in the wok and then paired with fresh orange slices for a refreshing starter.
