Probably the question I am most frequently asked about the wok is how to use it to make fried rice. This is a question that seems to intrigue many cooks. I am not surprised because properly stir-fried rice will result in a smoky and delicious flavour that is quite addictive.

Using the wok to stir-fry rice or noodles, or even to make pasta or porridge, again shows the versatility of the wok. It has so many uses in rice and pasta cookery – such as to brown noodles or to stir-fry a large amount of pasta – that it is unbeatable. In fact, once you discover how easy it is to stir-fry a large batch of noodles, you will never use your frying-pan again!
