Christmas

Seasonal food doesn’t come much more seasonal than at Christmas; this is not exactly to do with what’s in season, but with what’s expected of it – and you. Christmas is every cook’s nightmare. Maybe it isn’t helpful to say that it doesn’t have to be a nightmare because if anything will increase your dread it is the sense that other people somehow find it a complete breeze. They don’t. All the problems of cooking are intensified at Christmas: too many people to cook for; too many meals to cook; and too many people hanging around you all the time you’re cooking.
