At the beginning of each chapter on a particular month in the kitchen, you will find background seasonal information, some ideas for preparation and a shopping list. There are two categories for the items on the lists: British grown or import season best, given in heavy type; available and of good quality, in lighter type. Some of the shopping lists are followed by a paragraph pointing out some of the less commonly available imports and rare British produce in season, with some again picked out in bold.
